Magna-Flex LVT – Cardio Areas

Leon Gayle, Owner-Operator of Access Gym, was on the hunt for an environmental flooring solution for the club’s cardio areas – one that would keep pace with the gym’s future needs. Critically, the new floor had to avoid the costly subfloor preparation that comes with uplifting the existing surface, and it needed to prevent adhesive-contaminated waste from ending up in landfill.
Just as importantly, Leon wanted a floor that would create a modern, inviting space with the right ambience for his lifestyle gym.
ECO-TEK worked closely with Magni Sports, who provided the Pulse equipment. It is critical when designing fitness studios that the equipment and flooring complement each other to create the best possible customer experience. Magna-Flex’s magnetic LVT system provided a high-performance, contemporary floor without uplifting the existing one. The magnetically receptive MagnaLay underlay was simply loose-laid over the original surface, and the Magna-Flex LVT tiles were held securely in place by magnetic force – no adhesives, no mess, no disruption. The new floor prevented flooring waste going to landfill, giving a flexible, future-ready solution. It also delivers a lasting benefit: when the club is ready for its next refresh, the tiles can simply be lifted and new magnetic tiles fixed directly to the existing MagnaLay underlay – creating a genuinely circular flooring solution.
