Case Study: Springfield Leisure Centre Gym

ECO-TEK supplied an Iso-Flex system for Springfield Leisure Centre in Corsham, providing a protective layer beneath the finished flooring.

Leisure and fitness environments place significant demands on a floor. Repeated footfall, equipment movement and impact can transfer noise and vibration through the building while gradually affecting the subfloor below. The Iso-Flex system was selected to help address these challenges.

Installed beneath the floor finish, Iso-Flex provides a resilient layer that helps absorb impact and reduce the transfer of sound into surrounding areas. It also protects the existing subfloor from direct contact, wear and potential damage caused by activity above.

The system created a more practical flooring build-up without relying on extensive alterations to the existing base.
