East Sussex Hotel: Complete Gym Flooring Upgrade

East Sussex Spa Hotel undertook a full gym refurbishment, replacing both equipment and flooring as part of the project. Matching the right flooring package to new gym equipment is essential for performance and member experience, and it was equally important that the chosen system offered complete flexibility – allowing the space to adapt to shifting customer preferences and evolving exercise trends in the future.

The Solution

Multi-Flex 30 interlocking tiles were selected for their acoustic and shock-absorption properties, minimising impact noise transmission to other areas of the complex. The tiles’ high-density top surface also offers easy cleaning and a smooth, polished visual finish.

To complement this, Multi-Flex TR25i sled/prowler track was installed, interlocking seamlessly with the Multi-Flex rubber tiles to preserve full flexibility across the space. Unlike adhesive-bonded track, which incurs costly refitting when layouts change, this system can be extended or repositioned in future with minimal disruption or expense.

The Result

The finished gym floor is adhesive-free, fully flexible, and visually striking – delivering a high-performance training environment.
